#70 Bernina Lap Seam Foot 4mm

Lap Seam Foot #70 enables you to sew precise lapped and flat-felled seams in light and medium weight fabrics.

The square toe on the right of the presser foot acts as a guide for turned-under fabric edges on sportswear, jeans, and shirts.

Use it to sew two-step flat-felled seams on jeans or sportswear  simply by sewing the layers wrong sides together. The small channel on the left-hand side of Lap Seam Foot #70’s presser foot tip holds the fabric edge in place for the second line of stitching.

By using Lap Seam Foot #70 both raw edges are encased in the seam, making this presser foot suitable for sewing reversible items of clothing.

Lap Seam Foot #70 is suitable for light to medium-weight fabrics and gives a hem width of 3mm. Also available is Lap Seam Foot #71 which is suitable for medium to heavy-weight fabrics and gives a hem width of 6mm.
