The Bernina Straight- and CutWork Stitch Plate has a small round needle opening that provides more support for fine fabrics, preventing them from being pushed down into the needle opening. This is particularly helpful when piecing and stitching quilts, and when sewing with very fine or delicate fabrics. Use this stitch plate with any type of fabric when a perfect straight stitch is required - it offers the most control and support of the fabric as the needle forms the stitches.

This stitch plate is also ideal for CutWork and CrystalWork projects because the slightly larger hole (compared to a standard straight stitch needle plate) guarantees great results when using the CutWork and CrystalWork tools.
