This standard bobbin case is for use with the Bernina 4, 5, 7 and 9 Series machines. 

(Please note: The early 7 Series machines - 710, 750 and 780 - require a different bobbin case, which is available here)

The bobbin case in your machine can become damaged or simply worn down through regular use. Any burrs or scratches can result in the thread catching on the bobbin case - causing tangles, skipped stitches and thread breakage. The tiny tension screw can also become loose with time. A new bobbin case can significantly improve your machine's stitching.
