Janome Atelier 7 - 10th Anniversary Edition

This special Anniversary Edition is a limited edition machine to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Janome's Atelier series. The slimmer chassis has gentle curves and midnight blue accents, and an extra wide extension table is included as standard.

Janome’s Atelier series is smart, elegant and sophisticated, and is well suited to both larger projects and precision sewing. Included are the essential feet for everyday sewing as well as a selection of speciality feet to help you explore new sewing styles.

The Atelier 7 has 240 stitches including 11 auto 1-step buttonholes, 7 alphabets, 9mm capital letters, and numbers. It’s powerful, stitching at up to 1000 stitches per minute. It has an amazing 91 needle positions. Stitch length and width are variable, some patterns can be elongated by up to 5 times, and there is a function to memorise stitch and alphabet combinations.

The variable zig zag for free motion embroidery, and Stitch Composer™ (custom stitch creation programme) will expand your creativity even further.

This machine has a large work area – 210mm (8.25”) to the right of the needle and 120mm (4.7”) vertical space – plenty of room for rolling up large quilts! It also has a convertible free arm for sewing cuffs, trouser legs and hard to reach areas of various projects

Quilters will enjoy the AcuFeed™ Flex layered fabric feeding system, the automatic presser foot lift for easy pivoting, and the adjustable electronic knee lifter.

The Superior Feed Plus (SFS+) system features a unique 7 piece feed dog system for smooth sewing

The One Step™ Plate Converter lets you easily switch and use the perfect plate for your project (for piecing quilts a straight stitch needle plate can make all the difference).

The colour LCD screen makes stitches and functions easily accessible. The stitch chart is located inside the lid with stitches grouped together for their functionality – buttonholes, satin stitches, quilting stitches, decorative stitches, alphabets, etc.

One Step™ Plate Converter
Simply press a button to release one plate, then snap a new one in place – it takes just seconds, with no screwdrivers required! The enhanced straight stitch plate allows precise needle adjustment for scant ¼” seams. When using lightweight fabrics or piecing quilts, a straight stitch needle plate makes all the difference. The system also has a sensor which allows only an appropriate stitch to be sewn with the straight stitch needle plate in place, so no need to worry about breaking a needle! Both the standard zig zag and enhanced straight stitch needle plates are included with the Atelier 7

Stitch Composer™
Can you ever have enough decorative stitches? This machine comes with a plethora of stitches but there are times when you just can’t find the perfect one. The unique Stitch Composer™ programme allows you to create and edit your own unique stitches on your computer, then transfer them to your sewing machine via the USB port. Stitch Composer™ is the  perfect way to personalise your projects and expand your creativity

Variable Zig Zag
The Atelier 7 includes a Variable Zig Zag feature, which gives you precise control over the stitch width. Begin with a straight stitch, then while the machine is running, press against the knee lifter to widen your stitch up to a maximum 9mm zigzag. Release pressure to gradually return to a straight stitch for a tapered finish. This advanced feature opens up amazing new possibilities for free motion quilting, thread painting, raw edge appliqué, and more

Superior Feed Plus (SFS+) system
The SFS+ system features a unique 7 piece feed dog system that stays parallel as it moves up and down, maintaining constant contact with the fabric. This “flat feed” technology provides better control, whether sewing forward or backward

Auto Presser Foot Lift
The auto presser foot lift automatically lifts the presser foot after a thread cut – when the thread snip button is pressed, or after a programmed thread cut at the end of a row of decorative stitches – allowing you to keep your hands on your project at all times. It can also be set to raise at the end of any seam, with the needlein  the down position for easy pivoting. This useful feature simplifies the sewing process – you have fewer manual steps, saving time and increasing efficiency

AcuFeed Flex™ layered fabric feeding system
Our AcuFeed Layered Fabric Feeding System has long been legendary in the sewing and quilting world for its amazing precision and power. It works with the SFS system to ensure multiple layers of fabric move together under the needle with perfect precision. AcuFeed Flex perfectly guides your fabric from the top and bottom. It's perfect for quilts, plaids and any sewing requiring precise control. The AcuFeed Flex system is removable –when not in use, simply store it in one of the ample accessory trays

LCD screen
The colour LCD screen has 8 direct stitch selection keys for commonly used stitches plus easy access to functions – stitch elongation, twin needle setting, mirror image, stitch startover, machine lock and the set menu

Easy Set bobbin case and cover
The specially designed bobbin case and cover mean there’s no need to pull long thread tails up and through when you first thread the machine. Slip the bobbin thread in the cover plate guide; the built in cutting blades trim the tail to the correct length for a super –clean start to your stitching line. After the initial threading, the auto-thread cutter takes care of trimming and re-setting the tails each time

One-hand needle threader
When depressed, the one-hand threader stays in the down position for more control and extra easy threading

Convertible free arm for circular sewing
Remove part of the machine base to reveal the narrow arm under the needle area, making it easy to sew cuffs, trouser legs and other tubular objects. It is also helpful for sewing in hgard to reach areas of a project
