Roll and Shell Hemmer #69 is ideally suited for hemming soft fabrics such as T-shirts or tricot.

A scroll on the foot feeds the fabric edge from the front and turns it under twice, all in one operation. The guide holds the turned fabric together securely in the channel guide in the sole of the foot until it is sewn.This produces a narrow, sturdy hem, which in combination with the corresponding stitch type creates the popular scalloped (or shell) hem. In addition, it is suitable for sewing on lace and trim.

The guide which folds the hem is deeper and rounder than is usual with hemmer feet, enabling a decorative, slightly three-dimensional hem pattern to feed through freely.

Foot #69 is suitable for soft and stretch fabrics and gives a hem width of 4mm. Also available is Roll and Shell Hemmer Foot #68, which gives a hem width of 2mm
