Chris's Favourites by Exeter Sewing Machine Company - Aurifil Cotton 50wt, 40wt & 28wt

Curated by our very own Chris, and exclusively available from Exeter Sewing Machine Company, this handy little pack provides the perfect opportunity to try three different weights of Aurifil thread.

Chris put the collection together with machine sewing in mind - but the threads can also be used for various hand sewing techniques.

Containing five small spools in three different weights:

• 50 wt (two spools of 200 metres each) - for patchwork piecing and machine quilting. Also ideal for hand techniques such as English paper piecing. This is Aurifil's most popular weight of thread, and we've included it in two useful, neutral shades of grey - a light and a dark.

• 40wt (two spools of 150 metres each) - for machine quilting, garment sewing, decorative sewing and machine embroidery. This is Aurifil's standard, general purpose weight of thread, so we've included it in white and black.

• 28wt (one spool of 100 metres) - for machine quilting, appliqué, buttonholes and top stitching. Also ideal for hand techniques such as big stitch hand quilting. This is the thickest weight in the collection, ideal for decorative sewing - so we've included it in an Exeter Sewing shade of pink!
