Bernina 770QE Plus

The Bernina 770 Quilters Edition Plus offers innovative quilting, sewing and embroidering with new and improved features, plus a large sewing space (10” to the right of the needle) to make creating easy. There’s also a slide-on freearm extension table that adds room and support around the needle.  With its 9 mm stitch width, the B 770 QE Plus is ideally suited for decorative stitching, and its sewing speed of up to 1000 stitches per minute allows you to tackle large or intricate projects with confidence.

The B770 QE Plus comes with 1809 stitch patterns in total, including 38 utility stitches, 18 buttonholes and 500 decorative stitches.As you’d expect from a Quilters Edition, it offers a great selection of 74 quilting stitches. Stitches can be combined or edited, and saved in memory, the new history function allows use of previously saved patterns, and stitch settings can be changed while sewing. The new Triple Stitch function is perfect for bold decorative stitches. It also has a unique, built-in design collection, complete with beautifully patterned quilt blocks and continuous line quilting designs all done in embroidery. It also includes 275 embroidery designs and 8 embroidery fonts. All this allows you to create amazing quilt patterns through embroidery.The  Pinpoint Placement, Lock, and Group/Ungroup embroidery functions give you even more control. The B 770 QE Plus can be upgraded with Bernina’s optional Smart Drive Technology (SDT) embroidery module any time, to elevate your embroidery experience with enhanced stitch quality, smoother and quieter movement and up to 55% higher embroidery speed.

This machines comes with the Bernina Stitch Regulator (BSR) which guarantees precise stitch quality and results at any speed during free-motion quilting. The new BSR3 mode offers you 2 or 4 stitches per inch, ideal for quilt basting. See this page for a description of what the BSR foot, can do. The innovative Bernina Dual Feed tames hard-to-manage fabrics providing superb fabric feed and optimum visibility while sewing. Easy to engage when needed, the Bernina Dual Feed tucks completely out of the way when it’s not required.

Adaptive Thread Tension provides ideal thread tension while sewing to ensure perfect stitch quality on both sides of the fabric. Once the tension is set according to the thread and fabric used, Bernina Adaptive Thread Tension will constantly check the thread tension, adjusting it automatically when needed. The result is the finest stitching without pressing a button.

An extra large 7” colour touch screen allows you to operate the machine comfortably. You can get direct tip and tricks, or have short built-in tutorials to show you how to get the best from this machine. 30 LED lights give a clear view of your project, making it easy to work whatever the hour. The KickStart feature can reduce fatigue on when you are quilting for long periods of time. The KickStart function allows quilting in a continuous sewing mode without having to keep constant pressure on the foot control, so you can relax your foot. The function can easily be activated or deactivated on the touch screen. Another built-in feature aimed at quilters is the Bernina Free Hand System (FHS), with the knee lifter included in the accessory package. Other helpful features include the presser foot lowering automatically at the beginning of a seam. Threading is semi-automatic, and the thread is cut automatically when you reach the end of a seam, or when you wish to change colors while embroidering.

The programmable foot control also gives you  more options. The Bernina Hook system keeps every stitch consistent and precise. It incorporates a jumbo bobbin that holds up to 70% more thread than standard bobbins, which means fewer stops and starts with your sewing. And since it is conveniently changed from the front, there’s no need to remove your project. Upper and lower thread indicators warn you of thread shortages in good time.

Bernina Stich Regulator (BSR)
The BSR foot is more than just a presser foot; it produces neat, consistent stitching with stitches of precisely the same length while free-motion sewing. It reacts to the fabric's movement and adjusts the machine speed to match! It regulates perfect, equal-length straight and zigzag stitches at variable sewing speeds to give top quality results to your free-motion quilting.

BSR 3 mode
With the BSR 3 Mode, you will be able to set your stitch length to 2 or 4 stitches per inch for easy quilt basting.

KickStart
The KickStart function allows quilting in a continuous sewing mode without having to keep constant pressure on the foot control. This allows you to relax your foot for more comfort when quilting for long periods of time. The function can easily be activated or deactivated on the touch screen.

Bernina Free Hand System (FHS)
With FHS you can raise or lower the presser foot while simultaneously lowering the feed dog without having to take your hands off the fabric, ideal for quilting

Programmable foot control
The foot control is programmable, allowing you to raise or lower the needle with a press of your heel.

Adaptive Thread Tension
The Bernina Adaptive Thread Tension system ensures the ideal thread tension as you sew, helping you to achieve perfect stitch quality on both sides of the fabric. After you set the thread tension for the thread and fabric, your machine continuously checks it as you sew, adjusting it unobtrusively and automatically whenever necessary, resulting in the finest sewing and embroidery quality, with no need to even press a button.

Pinpoint Placement and Lock functions
The new Pinpoint Placement function allows you to place your design on your fabric exactly where you want it quickly and precisely. The Lock helps to maintain the size of your design size during positioning.

Group/Ungroup
Combine embroidery designs to edit all at one time with the Group feature. Break apart designs to edit individually using the Ungroup feature. Change the stitch out sequence of design layers. Use Rearrange in combination with Group and Ungroup for further editing possibilities
