Coverstitch machines produce a professional finish on hems on stretchy fabrics, and the top coverstitch on this machine also allows you to reproduce the stitching often seen on sportswear garments. Clothing assembly and decoration are possible on all types of fabric from firm to stretchy, with the vertical needle drop ensuring smooth fabric penetration and preventing damage. Parallel coverstitching can add designer touches, or you could even try creating your own trimmings.

Janome’s Tension Level Control system is enhanced in this new model, with the new Fine Mode Switching Mechanism allowing you to choose the appropriate tension for the full range of fabrics from fine organzas and lightweight knits or lycra to thick denim or fleecy fabric. This control changes the timing and stroke range of the take up lever, which softens the needle thread tension. No more puckering on fine or sheer fabrics!

Using the machine for top coverstitch is so quick. The industry-first spreader and thread guide are is built-in; all you need to do is push them into position, and press the retraction lever to store them away again after use. And the flat work area can be easily converted to a free arm configuration for hemming sleeves, necklines, trousers or small projects.

The CoverPro 3000P is built to a high standard, with ball-bearing driven motor shafts ensuring stability and less vibration even during sewing speeds of up to 1000 stitches per minute. Three LED lights (including Janome’s exclusive Hi-Light retractable light positioned above the needle area) illuminate your entire workspace. Time saving features include a3-position built-in needle threader, and chaining off at the end of seams to leave a chained thread tail.
