Baby Lock Euphoria

What can a cover stitch machine add to your sewing options? Have you ever looked closely at the hems of your t-shirts or sweatshirts? The top of the hem usually looks like a twin-needle stitch whereas the underside of the hem resembles a zig-zag stitch. This is a cover stitch, and it is much more elastic and durable than anything that can be produced on a standard sewing machine.

The Baby Lock Euphoria specialises in hemming stretch and knit fabrics in an elastic and durable way. It is a 4-thread coverstitch/chain stitch machine that enables you to effortlessly create triple, wide and narrow coverstitch as well as chain stitch. It offers a professional finish on hems, belt loops, bindings and much more, and is the perfect partner to any overlocker or sewing machine.

The ingenious ExtraordinAir™ threading system makes threading your Euphoria child‘s play. Simply insert the looper thread into the threading port, push the button and the yarn will be threaded up to the tip of the Euphoria`s looper with a gust of air.  Looper threading has never been so easy! The Euphoria also has an innovative mechanical needle threader, which helps you target the eye of the needle with the thread.

Thanks to the Automatic Thread Delivery™ system of the Baby Lock Euphoria there’s no more time consuming tension adjustment every time you use another fabric, stitch or thread thickness. The ATD system helps you produce perfectly balanced stitches on a range of fabrics and with a variety of threads.

The Baby Lock offers several features to make handling your project much easier. The Drop Feed system lowers the feed dogs when the presser foot is raised. It also features a higher presser foot height (6mm) to effortlessly handle thicker and loftier fabric, and a wider sewing space (140mm/5” to the right of the needle) lets you handle larger and more voluminous sewing projects without difficulty. And the knee lift allows you to raise the presser foot without taking your hands of your fabric – meaning you retain complete control. Cover stitch chaining off makes starting and stopping your work so much easier.

The Euphoria’s Differential Feed system guarantees an optimum feed for stretch fabrics, preventing puckering and distortion. It can also create decorative gathering and stretching effects. For those of you who like to experiment with different threads, a convenient dial for the manual adjustment of looper and needle thread allows you to experiment with different effects.

A tidy work area makes life so much easier and the Euphoria’s handy accessory storage compartment means everything you need can be kept close at hand. Even though the accessory compartment is located directly beneath the spool holder, neither the cones nor the threads will move when you open or close the compartment. Taking out the tweezers, the screw driver or another tool does not affect the stitch quality. The compartment’s magnetic top plate also keeps pins held safely.

The Euphoria has built-in safety switches that mean it can’t start sewing with the presser foot in up-position, or the side or front cover open. Its ingenious needle catch tray is another helpful safety feature.

Automatic Thread Delivery™ system
The ATD system removes the need for manual tension adjustment every time you use another fabric, stitch or thread thickness. There are three sensors - stitch width sensor - stitch length sensor - fabric thickness sensor - that provide the correct setting to achieve perfectly balanced stitches. Thanks to the ATD system, even working with difficult fabrics poses no problems. The thread quality doesn‘t matter. Whether a sturdy yarn or an ultra-thin thread, the seams always look neat. But if a seam does not come up to your personal expectations, you can easily adjust the looper and needle thread tension individually.

Drop feed system
When you raise the presser foot, the feed dogs lower automatically. This makes placing and removing the fabric much easier, and  (along with the increased presser foot height of 6mm) accommodates thicker fabrics. It also prevents any damage to the fabric during these operations.

Differential Feed
Stretch fabrics often cause problems such as puckering or distorted seams which can leave you in despair. Thanks to its differential feed, the Euphoria guarantees an optimum feed of stretch fabrics and thus prevents puckering or protruding seams. However, you can also use the Euphoria`s differential feed to intentionally gather or stretch the fabric and produce fanciful decorative effects.

Needle catch tray
The ingenious needle catch tray offers extra safety if you want to modify stitches and thus have to exchange the needles. If a needle falls down after loosening, you no longer have to look for it. Just pull out the needle catch tray and pick it up off the magnetic surface.

Verticle needle penetration
While many machines use slanted needles that push and damage fabric, the Euphoria's needles are set vertically and sew directly up and down, protecting your fabric and preventing needle deflection.

Looper drive system
This exclusive Looper Drive System prevents loopers from becoming misaligned or out of time, reducing the possibility of major looper damage. This protects your machine from needing repairs, allowing you to stitch worry free!
