Baby Lock Acclaim overlocker

With the Baby Lock Acclaim overlocker, your sewing will receive critical Acclaim! The Acclaim is Baby Lock’s top-end 2/3/4 thread overlocker. It can stitch at up to 1500 stitches per minute, and with 2” to the right of the needle, there’s plenty of room for your projects.

Thanks to the practical RevolutionAir™ threading system, the threads are threaded into the loopers and the eyes of the needles at the push of a button with a blast of air. What's more, you can thread the machine automatically in any order you like. The baby Lock Acclaim features a unique, compact tubular looper system that guarantees fuss-free, quick threading. Extra-strong loopers in a quality similar to that used in industry make your  Acclaim fit for more difficult tasks, and extremely reliable.

The Acclaim deals with a wide variety of fabrics with ease. The Automatic Thread Delivery (ATD) system eliminates the task of setting the correct thread tension. This allows you to process different materials and threads without any problems. The extra high (6mm) presser foot lift offers you even more freedom in processing thick or several layers of fabric, and the advanced knife drive cuts thicker fabrics cleanly and neatly. In addition, the 3 long-life LED lights ensure a perfect view of your project while you work on it.

The Acclaim´s auxiliary looper / converter can be easily activated for a two-thread stitch. Since it is firmly connected to the upper looper, it can't get lost or misplaced. In addition to various overlocking, flatlock and rolled hem options, the Acclaim also features a unique Wave stitch, perfect for a distinctive decorative finish.  There are four different Wave seam variants, and in combination with different sewing threads the Wave seam of the Acclaim can give your seams a whole new look.

Your Baby Lock Acclaim lets you adjust the stitch length and width quickly and easily. It is straightforward to deactivate the cutter if you want to sew closed or tube-like pieces of clothing. The same switch reactivates the cutter whenever you need it. The cutter  is not fully retracted and you can use it as a guide.

The differential feed can prevent puckering and distortion in stretch fabrics, and allows you to produce consistent results and special gathering and stretching effects. And the vertical needles work effortlessly through thicker fabrics.

There’s a handy accessory compartment under the thread spool holder, which can hold all those important tools. And there’s even a magnetic shelf within the accessory compartment, so you can safely store needles.  Also for additional safety, the machine will not operate if the presser foot is up, or the side/front cover are open.

Differential Feed
Stretch fabrics often cause problems such as puckering or distorted seams that leave you in despair. Thanks to its differential feed, the Acclaim guarantees an optimum feed of stretch fabrics and thus prevents puckering or protruding seams. You can also use the Acclaim's differential feed to produce fanciful gathering or stretching effects.

With this exclusive system, threading can be completed in less than one minute. Imagine how much time you’ll save if you don’t have to worry about threading! Engage the RevolutionAir™ needle threader, hold the thread in front of the needle, push a button and the Acclaim’s needles are threaded! No more licking threads or needing a magnifying glass!To thread the loopers, insert thread into one of the Acclaim’s threading ports, push the button and a gust of air quickly pushes it through the patented tubular loopers, exactly where you need it every time. The loopers can be threaded individually or simultaneously; tangles, knots and breakage are now a thing of the past! Baby Lock’s RevolutionAir™ Threading makes setting up your machine faster and easier than ever, every single time, and you can even change any thread without re-threading the others

Automatic Thread Delivery™ System
Set the Acclaim to the type of stitch you want and get started! The Acclaim delivers a balanced stitch on any fabric with any type of thread. Even handling difficult fabrics becomes child‘s play because the machine always provides the correct setting to achieve an optimum sewing result. The thread quality is irrelevant. Whether a sturdy yarn or an ultra-thin thread, the seams always look neat. The Automatic Thread Delivery System lays the thread on the fabric as each stitch is formed. The fabric is not responsible for pulling the threads through the tension discs as on other overlockers. Which means there’s no stress placed on the fabric, allowing it to flow under the foot without being stretched or damaged. This allows you to sew from delicate silk chiffon through to lycra and layers of denim or fleece without having to make any adjustments to the machine settings.

Exclusive Wave stitch
Simply change the dial from ‘OVERLOCK’ to ‘WAVE’ and thread the machine with decorative threads to create a beautiful decorative stitch. It can be sewn as a 3-thread wave and reverse wave stitch or a rolled hem, and is a distinctive edging stitch. It can also be sewn as a flat lock wave stitch. Different wave stitch results can be achieved by changing the decorative threads in the upper and lower loopers.

Advanced Knife Driving and one-way clutch system
Baby Lock has created a knife system with a larger cutting bite that cuts thicker fabric with ease and increased visibility.

Tubular loopers
