The Luminaire Innov-is XP1 is Brother’s  advanced sewing, quilting and embroidery machine, offering industry-first technology and features. 

The revolutionary, built-in, interactive projection technology makes so much possible:

• You can project your design directly onto your material to see exactly where it will be positioned, bringing a new level of precision to your crafts.
• A T-shaped laser embroidery pointer shows you the exact needle drop position, ensuring you always start in the right place first time.
• The unique 2-in-1 sensor pen works on the fabric, freeing you from the controls on-screen. Simply adjust the needle position by pressing the pen on the fabric

You can slide, scroll, pinch and zoom the 10.1” high definition tablet-like touch screen with your fingers, or simply use the smart pen and stylus. You can edit on-screen embroidery, customise your settings and view on-screen video tutorials and built-in XP1 help guides

The super long arm and 5 x 13.1" (127 x 332 mm) workspace allow you to quilt even the largest projects such as king-size bed covers. With over 750 stitches and 1100 embroidery designs (including 192 from Disney) built in, plus the My Design Center software making your own creations easy, this machine will allow you to create whatever you can imagine.

Brother's specialist embroidery software packages (PE Design 11, or PE Design Plus2) are available at a significantly reduced prices (over 37% reduction from our usual RRP)  when purchased at the same time as this machine. PE Design 11 is an extremely sophisticated package offering huge amounts of editing and functionality. PE Design Plus 2 is more limited in its range but will still significantly add to your embrodery repertoire.  Please choose from the dropdown options available when placing your order.

Extra-large workspace
The generous 127 x 332 mm (5" x 13.1") workspace is one of the largest in the industry, and allows you to comfortably quilt a king-sized bed cover.

Intelligent buttonhole detection
Create flawless buttonholes with the new lever-less camera buttonhole detection feature. The camera-assisted buttonhole foot recognises the size of your button and automatically determines the correct sewing size. The Luminaire Innov-is XP1 also independently adjusts the sewing speed while stitching, resulting in beautifully sewn buttonholes. The clever lever-less system stops thick fabric like fleece being caught and distorting the fabric

Bobbin winding with five different levels
A dedicated bobbin winding motor enables new bobbins to be wound even while you continue to sew. Now choose from five levels of bobbin winding volume – especially good for thinner embroidery bobbin thread.

Quick release needle plate
No screwdriver necessary - remove the whole needle plate even while the embroidery unit is connected, using a simple slider button

Guided sewing
Angled lines of 45, 60, 90 and 120 degrees have been added to the Straight Stitch Needle Plate, making it easy for quilters to perfectly place triangles, rectangles, squares, circles, hexagons, diamonds and virtually any other shape.

Snowman function
The XP1 uses the innovative snowman sticker placement system to split and combine large patterns perfectly, and to accurately place designs on your fabric. Join large quilt sashes, continuous borders and oversize designs quickly and accurately, giving professional standard results.

Embroidery stippling features
The inside/outside auto stipple and fill patternfunction allows you to get the look of complicated freehand stippling without special software or stitch regulation. Use the built-in library of shapes to add interesting detail to projects. Combine shapes, and apply inside or outside stippling
Auto stipple and foutline recognition lets you easily add stippling embroidery to achieve uniform, professional looking results

Flexible, wide decorative stitching
Most of the decorative stitches can be enlarged up to 120%, or redced by 50%.
